With immense gratitude to the community of the Bulgarian school in Boston and Cape Cod, we are pleased to announce that the two branches of the school have collectively raised $2,075. This amount will be donated to the Bulgarian foundation “Teach for Bulgaria”.
The campaign was initiated right after Thanksgiving, which fell on November 28th this year in the US. An article was posted on the school's website to inform the Bulgarian community around Boston about the objectives and initiatives of “Teach for Bulgaria” aimed at improving school education in Bulgaria. The school management spread the word to friends and supporters, encouraging them to contribute donations. Students, teachers, teaching assistants, and parents created items to sell at our Christmas celebrations in both branches, including Christmas cards, decorations, and traditional survachki. Additionally, the importance of charity, social commitment, and responsibility was discussed with the students in the classrooms.
During the Christmas concerts at the Boston and Cape Cod branches on December 21st, additional announcements were made to draw attention to the donation boxes. The significance of our connection with Bulgaria, which the school strives to instill as a core value for our children, was highlighted.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated in the school's Christmas campaign with their efforts and contributions. A special thank you to all the donors! Once again, a noble cause brought us together to work towards a better world for our children, fostering empathy, responsibility, and hope.
We wish you a successful and happy 2025!
